Just to acknowledge I am still here...

...here is a pic with the used wheels I put on. I am refinishing the original wheels to get a different look, so stay tuned for some pics and words on that process. Still laid off, so I am starting to get back into it since it is after the holidays...well, at least until the Christmas holidays. Stay tune...

Been busy

Well, this post is just to let people know that I am still here, but the project has been delayed (somewhat) due to spending my spare time trying to fix my other car. I have a 2002 VW GTI 337 that I am trying to clean and repair to a state where it will be easier to sell. I spent some money and time getting the headliner re-upholstered so it can look better. Reason to sell is because I wanted a Harley, but now that I am laid off, the extra money will be for emergencies. Hopefully I get a job soon before that money is gone so I can still try and get a bike or have some modding money for the Jetta.

Well, one thing did happen to the Jetta. I got the passenger window motor fixed since I had an extra motor, but now my driver's side window is stuck closed. I will now need to buy three new window regulators to fixed the others when money and time permit.

Besides that I did take some more pics of the Jetta that are more pleasing to the human eye. Enjoy, until I can actually get some real stuff done.

Bad luck no more

Hopefully my luck is getting better. The guy I purchased the grille from send me an Instant Message on www.VWVortex.com and told me that he sent a new one to me. Per UPS, the package should be here on Thursday, 8.20.09. Let's hope it comes in one piece this time. I will keep this updated. Until next time...

The bad luck continues...

This post is a continuation of the post below. I just wanted to show what UPS has done to kick a guy down when he is at his lowest. haha. Not really, but it really did suck, especially since I purchased this item the day I got laid off. Wonderful huh?

I ordered a badge-less grille. This will delete the VW emblem on the front of the car and will give it a nice clean look to the front of the car. If you look at my playlist below you can see the red Jetta with an almost exact rendition of what I purchased, BUT the UPS company managed to "make my day". Below you will see my pics of the damage...

I am currently talking to the guy who supplied it so I will see what happens. I am in no rush though.

Yeah, UPS is awesome:

Laid off and more time...

Well, due to my current employment situation, which is none, I will have a lot of extra time to actually contribute to my own blog.

This blog was created to show my progress and journey to the ultimate stance. If you do not know what stance is. Please go HERE. The link will show you perfect examples of what stance is and the massive culture within' the "dub" (Volkswagen) scene. The ultimate stance is how the car sits. It involves two very important steps to the equation. First, the proper lowered suspension whether or not the suspension is functional or not (seriously). Second, shoes that will drop the panties. Ok, maybe I need to keep the slang to a minimum since I'd like people who do not know what this culture is about to understand what I am writing. When I say shoes, I mean the car will need some very nice wheels. Be it, big, small, shiny, rare or unique. The wheels need to have a statement. There are so many enthusiast out there, that each person trying to acquire the perfect stance will want to be different from the rest, surpass the rest and make sure it drops the panties (this phrase is sort of similar to when rock stars perform on stage and the girls in the crowd will throw their undergarments to the stage because the band is so life changing and inspires all the ladies to throw there underwear. This is what the perfect stance will do...make the ladies feel like the car they just saw with this perfect stance is like their life-long favorite band). Ok, enough of the chatter.

There will be a lot of other parts, procedures and modifications that will need to be done to the car to add to the stance and look of the car, but those all come down to preference. I will update this as much as I can, as it will lack on my part due to the lack of funds since I have recently been unemployed (07.26.09). I do have more time so I will try to add the little things also. Stay tuned.
